Workshop on financial planning for physicians
MINNEAPOLIS, September 11, 2008—Sterling Retirement Resources, an MMA-endorsed provider of financial planning services, is giving a complimentary workshop on retirement planning for physicians.
"Case Studies in Financial Planning" is the title of the workshop, to be held October 18, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The workshop will be held at the MMA offices at 1300 Godward Street, Suite 2500, in Minneapolis.
The presenters will be Sterling principals Joel Greenwald, M.D., who practiced internal medicine in St. Paul for 10 years, and Steve Finkelstein. Both are certified financial planners (CFPs), and both have worked extensively with physicians and other health care providers.
"Physicians are better informed than most people about investment planning," said Greenwald. "But there are things many physicians miss. For example, the best way to access your savings when retirement is finally at hand – that can be a tricky business."
Sterling Retirement Resources was endorsed by the MMA this year after an extensive search for a financial planning firm that could deliver particular value to physicians.
