  • Secondhand smoke has been proven to cause heart disease, lung cancer, bronchitis, and asthma.
  • There is no safe level of exposure to secondhand smoke.
  • Clean-air ordinances work. They have been shown to reduce the number of heart attacks and reduce the indoor air pollutants known to increase cancer, heart attack, stroke and respiratory disease
  • Workers in bars and restaurants deserve the same protections under the law as workers in other occupations.
