HITECH Grantees

Minnesota’s public and private partners are taking advantage of federal funds from the HITECH Act in order to advance electronic health records adoption and health information exchange in Minnesota.

To date several organizations within Minnesota have received HITECH funds, including:

• The Key Health Alliance to provide regional technical assistance
• Several of Minnesota’s educational institutions to advance HIT work force and education
• The Minnesota Department of Health Center for Information Technology to support health information exchange,
• Mayo to study the use of EHR data
• Mayo with several community partners to show quality improvement through meaningful exchange of health information
