The Committee on Medical Practice and Planning is responsible for the development and evaluation of policy and activities that will increase the capability of physicians and the medical care system to provide quality, cost-effective care.

Examples of areas included within this charge are: physician reimbursement, scope-of-practice, structure and models of care delivery, cost containment strategies, and health care financing

The Committee on Medical Practice and Planning meets approximately four times per year.
