Manager of Media Relations and Communications

Minnesota Medical Association seeks full-time Manager of Media Relations and Communications. This person will be responsible for managing the association's media relations activities; work closely with the legislative and advacacy staff; developing, implementing and managing print and online communications. Must have strong media relations, writing/editing (print and online), verbal and organizational skills; be highly motivated, able to handle multiple projects and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

College degree in journalism or mass communications with five years of experience in media relations, which should include, news writing and editing, corporate communications and online writing. Knowledge of the legislative process, Minnesota health care environment and social media concepts desirable. Photography and videography skills a plus.
