The Minnesota Medical Association held the MMA 2004 Annual Meeting from Sept. 30 to Oct. 1 in Duluth, Minn.
The meeting, the 151st in the MMA's history, featured meetings of the MMA House of Delegates and reference committees, MEDPAC's Annual Meeting, component medical society caucuses, the AMA Delegation meeting, an awards presentation, and the inauguration of the new MMA president.
Attendees elected the MMA's new officers and voted on more than 50 reports and resolutions.
The Annual Meeting was held at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center (DECC), which is located at 350 Harbor Dr., in Duluth.

Awards were presented at the MMA Awards Lunch. The awards available include the Community Service Award, "Stop The Violence" Award, Physician Communicator Award, Excellence in Medical Journalism Award , Sova Award, the MMA Medical Student Section's Medical Student Award, and Minority Service Award.
