Survey Policy & Practices

Survey Policy & Practices

To make sure we are responding to our members’ needs, the MMA occasionally sends survey asking their opinions. If you have received a survey from the MMA and have questions, please read this section. It addresses many of the frequently asked questions that our survey respondents have.

We use online survey software hosted by Zarca Interactive, a leading provider of online survey solutions and technology.

Why are Minnesota Medical Association’s surveys hosted by Zarca Interactive instead of being on their own website?

Zarca Interactive specializes in online surveys. Zarca’s online survey solution is designed for deployment of surveys of varying complexity by people who do not already have experience with computer programming or technology. Further, using Zarca’s system makes it easy to analyze survey data so we can quickly and easily determine the results of the survey.

What kind of surveys does Minnesota Medical Association conduct?

We conduct surveys in a variety of areas, the most common of which include:

  • Membership surveys
  • Readership surveys
  • Issue-based surveys
  • Performance reviews

How does the Minnesota Medical Association use the data from these surveys?

The data is used to improve the organization’s ability to represent Minnesota physicians.

What about the confidentiality of my survey response?

We are grateful for your participation in our surveys and thank you for taking the time to provide us your feedback. Your survey responses are treated with utmost regard for your privacy and confidentiality. While individual responses are available to us, in most cases we use aggregate reports to discern overall trends. In case a particular response requires intervention, only an authorized and trained professional will review the response and determine next steps. Your responses are accessed and viewed by professionals who remain bound to a high standard of safeguarding your privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Are the survey responses anonymous? Will Minnesota Medical Association know which survey response was from me?

All anonymous surveys carry explicit indication that they are anonymous. In general, if a survey is not explicitly indicated as being anonymous, then it is possible for the person administering the survey to link a response with the identity of the survey respondent. In addition, any survey in which survey respondents indicate their name or other identifying information may not be anonymous.

I have some additional questions about a survey I received. Who can I contact for additional information?

Please contact George Lohmer.
